What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science-based approach to understanding and improving behavior. It focuses on how learning happens and how the environment influences actions. Through positive reinforcement and individualized teaching, ABA helps individuals build meaningful skills that lead to greater independence and quality of life.

At Precision Pathway Therapy, ABA therapy is personalized for each client. We use data-driven methods to teach communication, social, self-help, and daily living skills, while also reducing behaviors that may interfere with learning or well-being.

Our Intake and Assessment Process

At Precision Pathway Therapy, our intake and assessment process is designed to ensure every client receives individualized, high-quality care from the very start.

  1. Initial Contact: Families reach out to our team to discuss their concerns and learn more about ABA therapy. We gather basic information and determine service eligibility.

  2. Intake Packet: Families complete the intake packet, which includes all necessary consent forms and background information.

  3. Insurance Verification and Authorization: We verify insurance coverage and obtain any required authorizations.

  4. Comprehensive Assessment: A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) conducts a detailed assessment, including direct observation, caregiver interviews, and standardized tools to identify skill areas and behavioral targets.

  5. Individualized Treatment Plan: Based on the assessment results, the BCBA creates a personalized ABA treatment plan with clear, measurable goals tailored to the client.

  6. Submit to Insurance: The completed treatment plan is submitted to insurance for approval.

  7. Service Start & Team Matching: Once authorization is received, therapy sessions begin. We carefully match the client with a team that best fits their needs, ensuring a supportive and effective therapy experience.
